How we use your data

General

TRAVEL TO CROATIA uses your personal data:

• to provide you with advertisement according to your interests; but you can contact us at any time, in written form via email to privacy@traveltocroatia.com.hr and ask to remove you from our mailing list;
• to manage any registered account(s) that you hold with us;
• to process your booking;
• to verify your identity;
• with your agreement, to contact you electronically about promotional offers and products and services which we think may interest you;
• to enable TRAVEL TO CROATIA to manage customer service interactions with you; and
• where we have a legal right or duty to use or disclose your information (for example in relation to an investigation by a public authority or in a legal dispute), but limited only to the necessary information that we are required to provide.

Promotional communications

TRAVEL TO CROATIA uses your personal data for electronic marketing purposes (with your consent) and may send you newsletter to update you on the latest offers.

TRAVEL TO CROATIA aims to update you about products & services which are of interest and relevance to you as an individual.

You have the right to opt out of receiving promotional communications at any time, by:

1. changing marketing preferences via your Mailchimp account;
2. making use of the simple “unsubscribe” link in emails or the “STOP” number for texts; and/or
3. contacting TRAVEL TO CROATIA via the contact channels set out in this Policy.

Web Banner Advertising

If you visit our websites, you may receive personalised banner advertisements whilst browsing other websites.  Any banner advertisements you see will relate to products you have viewed whilst browsing our websites on your computer or other devices.

These advertisements are provided by TRAVEL TO CROATIA via market leading specialist providers using ‘cookies’ placed on your computer or other devices (see further information on the use of cookies at dedicated Website page Cookie Policy).

Mailing lists

As part of the registration process for our monthly e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about our services/products you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are.

We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing our data protection officer at privacy@traveltocroatia.com.hr

We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses, we use your personal data limited to necessary information for the required purpose, and only for our needs. Even in our company not all employees have the access to your data, but it is restricted only to Data Protection Officer and employees he authorizes, so we will give our best efforts to keep all personal data confidential.

Sharing data with third parties

Our service providers and suppliers

In order to make certain services available to you, we may need to share your personal data with some of our service partners. These include IT, delivery and marketing service providers.

TRAVEL TO CROATIA only allows its service providers to handle your personal data when we have confirmed that they apply appropriate data protection and security controls.  We also impose contractual obligations on service providers relating to data protection and security, which mean they can only use your data to provide services to TRAVEL TO CROATIA and to you, and for no other purposes.

Other third parties

Aside from our service providers and the Data Protection Officer, TRAVEL TO CROATIA will not disclose your personal data to any third party nor to other TRAVEL TO CROATIA employees (other than authorized employees), except as set out below.  We will never sell or rent our customer data to other organisations for marketing purposes. Also when someone visits www.traveltocroatia.com.hr or any other subdomain we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

We may share your data with:

• credit reference agencies where necessary for card payments;
• governmental bodies, regulators, law enforcement agencies, courts/tribunals and insurers where we are required to do so:
  • to comply with our legal obligations;
  • to exercise our legal rights (for example in court cases);
  • for the prevention, detection, investigation of crime or prosecution of offenders; and
  • for the protection of our employees and customers.

How long do we keep your data?

We will not retain your data for longer than necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy. Different retention periods apply for different types of data, however the longest we will normally hold any personal data is 6 years.

Information from Other Sources

We may obtain information, including Personal Data, from third parties and sources other than the Service, such as our partners, advertisers, and Integrated Services. If we combine or associate information from other sources with Personal Data that we collect through the Service, we will treat the combined information as Personal Data in accordance with this Policy.

To Whom We Disclose Information

Except as described in this Policy, we will not intentionally disclose the Personal Data or Client Data that we collect or store on the Service to third parties without the consent of the applicable Visitor, User or Client. We may disclose information to third parties if you consent to us doing so, as well as in the following circumstances.

Personal data submitted by you in the registration process is subject to this Privacy Notice.

If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Notice, do not use the Service.

Service Providers

We work with third party service providers who provide website, application development, hosting, maintenance, and other services for us. These third parties may have access to, or process Personal Data or Client Data as part of providing those services for us. We limit the information provided to these service providers to that which is reasonably necessary for them to perform their functions, and our contracts with them require them to maintain the confidentiality of such information.

Law Enforcement, Legal Process and Compliance

We may disclose Personal Data or other information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with applicable laws, in response to a facially valid court order, judicial or other government subpoena or warrant, or to otherwise cooperate with law enforcement or other governmental agencies.

Ticketing Data

When you purchase a ticket (or tickets), merchandise, VIP table voucher through the TRAVEL TO CROATIA in person, by phone, email or online your name, address data, email and contact number will be stored in our database. Please be assured that we do not share your personal details with any other company without your consent.

Change of Ownership

Information about Users and Visitors, including Personal Data, may be disclosed and otherwise transferred to an acquirer, successor or assignee as part of any merger, acquisition, debt financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction, as well as in the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership in which information is transferred to one or more third parties as one of our business assets and only if the recipient of the User or Visitor Data commits to a Privacy Policy that has terms substantially consistent with this Privacy Policy.

Client Data may be physically or electronically transferred to an acquirer, or successor or assignee as part of any merger, acquisition, debt financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction, as well as in the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership in which information is transferred to one or more third parties as one of our business assets, for the sole purpose of continuing the operation of the Service, and only if the recipient of the Client Data commits to a Privacy Policy that has terms substantially consistent with this Privacy Policy.

Access, Correction, Deletion

We respect your privacy rights and provide you with reasonable access to the Personal Data that you may have provided through your use of the Services. If you wish to access or amend any other Personal Data we hold about you, or to request that we delete or transfer any information about you that we have obtained from an Integrated Service, you may contact us as via email to privacy@traveltocroatia.com.hr. At your request, we will have any reference to you deleted or blocked in our database.

Wherever possible, we will ask for your prior consent for collecting and processing your personal data, which you can always deny. You may decline to share certain Personal Data with us, in which case we may not be able to provide to you some of the features and functionality of the Service.

At any time, you may object to the processing of your Personal Data, on legitimate grounds, except if otherwise permitted by applicable law. If you believe your right to privacy granted by applicable data protection laws has been infringed upon, please contact TRAVEL TO CROATIA Data Protection Officer via email privacy@traveltocroatia.com.hr .

This provision does not apply to Personal Data that is part of Client Data. In this case, the management of the Client Data is subject to the Client’s own Privacy Policy, and any request for access, correction or deletion should be made to the Client responsible for the uploading and storage of such data into the Service.

Access to your personal information

You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. Email your request to our data protection officer privacy@traveltocroatia.com.hr .

Changes and Updates to this Policy

Please revisit this page periodically to stay aware of any changes to this Policy, which we may update from time to time. If we modify the Policy, we will make it available through the Service, and indicate the date of the latest revision, and will comply with applicable law.
